About

Hi there, I’m Leigh Lawhon!
I am a Creative Technologist with a lifelong commitment to education and learner experience. Over the past 20+ years, I have worked across instruction, curriculum development, UX design, and product management, always focused on helping people understand complex systems through clear, intuitive experiences.
I am proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I use these skills to design accessible, engaging interfaces and learning tools. My experience managing end-to-end projects informs my approach to learning design—balancing learner needs, technical constraints, and organizational goals.
After years in product leadership, I am returning with intention to my roots in education, focused on building a new generation of learning experiences that emphasize clarity, engagement, and real-world application.
My Journey
I began my career as a graphic designer, where attention to detail and mastery of creative tools naturally led me into teaching others how to use them. Over time, my curiosity expanded from how tools worked to why some systems felt intuitive while others created friction for users.
That curiosity led me to teach myself HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including React), and Python, and eventually to designing and building my own user-centered applications. Along the way, I discovered that my strongest work happens at the intersection of learning, design, and technology.
I am a lifelong learner who loves to teach. Whether facilitating a class, designing an interface, or building a learning system, my goal is always the same: to create experiences that are thoughtful, usable, and genuinely supportive of learning.
